Opening of Training Center in Philippines

Ship management company MMS Co., Ltd. opened a crew training center in Bacoor City, Cavite, located around approx. 25 km south of Manila (approx. 25 minutes by car from Ninoy Aquino International Airport). It sets up full-scale training facilities by introducing state-of-the-art deck simulator, engine simulator, actual generator, and ECDIS (Electronic Chart Display System) of each manufacturer and accommodation facilities to internalize seafarers’ training in the Philippines, the main seamen supply base. Also, it will cultivate excellent Filipino seafarers and strengthen the quality of ship management, in addition, will develop training services for outside.

The site area is about 17,000 m², the building’s extended floor space is about 7,000 m², which should be a quite large-sized training center, and it is possible to accept about 5,000 seafarers a year. It is also equipped with seafarers’ accommodation facilities then the expansion of the MMS management fleet in the future is prepared and the external seafarer training needs can be taken.
